Home > Where Are The Poconos?
Where are the Pocono Mountains? This is one of those questions that if you ask ten different people, you’ll probably get ten different answers! I’ve had buyers say they would like to buy a home in the Poconos and my reply is, “what area are you interested in?” Usually, unless they’re familiar with the area, they have no idea that the term “Pocono Mountains” encompasses a very large and diversified area. This area includes four counties - Monroe, Pike, Wayne & Carbon - covering 2,400 square miles, much of it protected local, state and federal park and forest. Each county can then be broken down further into the individual townships. My area of expertise is primarily within Monroe County, so here’s the breakdown of the four different regions of the county:

~ Delaware Water Gap
~ East Stroudsburg
